Here are couple of advices to have a peace of mind while at work...

Whether you’ve been working remotely, or you’ve been on an extended vacation or leave, your pet has probably gotten used to your presence around the house. Going back to the office can seem daunting when your furry friend has been around 24/7, so imagine how your pet must feel when you walk out that door with your briefcase in hand!

There are many different ways to help get your pet ready for your return to work. How about trying some of these tips?

1) Start Slow

Slowly but surely build up your time away by practicing daily. You can leave for a few minutes the first time, and the build it up to a longer duration to get your pet accustomed to hanging out alone.

2) Tire Them Out

Get in some good exercise and play time before it’s time for you to leave, that way your pet will readily nap and rest in your absence.

3) Keep It Cool

When you leave and return, make sure to stay calm and keep it cool. Your pets pay attention to your feelings, and you might up their anxiety by giving them too much attention.

4) Set Up Their Space

Provide your pet with a comfy space for them to spend time in during your absence. You can include favorite toys, their bed, water, and maybe a treat or two for them to find.

5) Give Them Something to Do

To keep your pet busy, give them some mental stimulation. Use puzzle toys, puzzle feeders, and chew toys to keep your pets entertained while you’re away.

Going back to work can be an emotional time for everyone involved, so take your time and ease into the routine.

Good luck!
